Important Information for Tourists
We remind you that according to the Tourism Law of the Republic of Lithuania:
"Persons being accommodated, except for minor children accompanying them, must confirm their identity by presenting the service provider with a valid identity document.
Personal data is processed for the purposes of accounting for travelers and tourists and for the purposes specified in Article 45, Paragraph 1, Point (b) of the Convention Implementing the Schengen Agreement, concluded on June 14, 1985, between the Benelux Economic Union, the Federal Republic of Germany, and the French Republic, regarding the gradual abolition of their common border controls."

Please note that starting January 1, 2025, an amendment to the Tourism Law will come into effect, establishing an obligation for accommodation service providers to submit the above - collected data to the National Tourism Information System (NTIS) within 24 hours.
Therefore, accommodation service providers will be required to request an identity document from all adult guests. Data collected during registration will be securely stored in the NTIS subsystem "E. Tourist," where the data will be anonymized and used for statistical purposes without violating the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) provisions.
If a guest refuses to present an identity document, the accommodation service provider has the right to deny accommodation services.
